CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Think Partnership Inc. (AMEX:THK), an international leader in interactive performance-based marketing and related Internet technologies, today announced that Microsoft Corp. has chosen a technology and services package from Think Partnership including the KowaBunga!® MYAP™ v9 (MyAffiliateProgram™) affiliate tracking and management solution and the
ValidClick click fraud technology to launch and manage the affiliate networks of its Online Services Group.
By integrating the patent-pending ValidClick click fraud detection technology directly into the KowaBunga! MYAP v9 platform, Think Partnership is able to offer clients, like Microsoft, the ability to reward affiliates for sales, leads, downloads and even clicks without the concern of fraudulent traffic sabotaging the success of the program.
Think Partnership has customized the KowaBunga! MYAP v9 platform for Microsoft, allowing it to create unique, yet integrated, fraud-protected affiliate programs for each of its product lines. The Windows Live OneCare program will be the first affiliate program launched in this new Microsoft-branded Affiliate Network, and will implement KowaBunga! Affiliate Management. It will allow affiliates of this program to earn commissions by referring customers to the Windows Live OneCare package, an all-in-one security and performance for your PC including antivirus, antispyware, anti-phishing, firewall, performance tune-ups and backup and storage.
Microsoft’s customized technology and service package includes:
* The functionality of an affiliate network platform for ease in managing separate, yet integrated programs.
* Licensing and utilization of Think Partnership’s ValidClick technology for fraud detection and prevention.
* Integration with Windows Live ID.
* Direct links from affiliate sites to Microsoft’s online properties.
* Complete Microsoft-branded affiliate management, including recruitment, support and payment by Think Partnership’s team.
* Inclusion in KowaBunga’s affiliate network.
“Microsoft has joined a number of our marquee clients in choosing KowaBunga!,” said Scott P. Mitchell, Think Partnership’s president and chief executive officer. “Our solution provides Microsoft with benefits they were unable to find among the competition. This includes the ability to customize the technology to fit their specific strategy, fraud protection using our patent-pending ValidClick technology and the ability to maintain ownership of the relationships created with affiliates.”
“We expect these programs could add a substantial stream of revenue to Microsoft,” continued Mitchell, “as we combine Microsoft’s strong brand names with the proven power of KowaBunga’s affiliate marketing capabilities to create extraordinary results.”
Besides an initial setup fee, this service is performance based, as Think Partnership shares a percentage of the revenue generated by the affiliate network.
