New Gorilla Shopping Blog for affiliate marketing

No internet access for nearly a week? Are you kidding me? I'm on vacation but I'm home. Bright House Cable here in Seminole, Fl. has really tried this single dad's patience. At least they got the cable working Monday. My two wonderful children would have mutinied against me if I didn't have that going as they spent the week with me. We'd be watching Bugsy Malone from Netflix! over and over again.

Tonight, I started a new blog for me and my girlfriend, Kristin. She loves to shop and I love to make money online. So, whenever we/she buys anything, we'll post product reviews on Gorilla Shopping for you to read. I know I have a growing audience of affiliate marketing colleagues, so I also want you to check it out to see how I do with this freebie site on Let's see how long it takes before I start getting search engine traffic. Let's see if I can make US Dollar number one. It's much more of an experiment than it is anything else.

I set up my own rules for that blog. You won't find any Kowabunga or Primary Ads links unless they link to the sign up page for the network or the specific merchant. I also will not post any second tier links to my own company. This is a very public experiment where I hope to publish my earnings and how I grew the commission month over month. I'll have an email sub box over there soon, but I wanted to show you what I had been doing during my Christmas vacation.

Welcome KB Blog Readers

For the last six months, I've tried to rebuild the readers to the Kowabunga blog and now we need to take a break while we upgrade servers and rebuild the interface.

So welcome to my blog, I promise to update it with Kowabunga information and affiliate industry news over the next few weeks. Stick with me and I'll let you know when the Kowabunga blog is ready to rock.

Ok, I admit it, I've Googled myself!

From the Tampa Tribune online this morning, have any of you read my Googling updates on this topic??? Well, it finally worked. All I had to do is create my own wikipedia page.

The Tampa Tribune
Published: December 17, 2007

NEW YORK - More Americans are Googling themselves - and many are checking out their friends, co-workers and romantic interests, too.

In a report Sunday, the Pew Internet and American Life Project said 47 percent of U.S. adult Internet users have looked for information about themselves through Google or another search engine.

I had to comment on the story at

Celebrity/Scientologist Sighting - Catherine Bell in Clearwater

I had brunch with my girlfriend, Kristin, and a a group of friends this morning at the Island Way Grill in Clearwater Beach. They have a fabulous spread of breakfast and lunch food along with way too much seafood and sushi. I definitely ate my limit and walked away satisfied.

But about halfway through brunch I noticed the woman at the table next to us looked just like Catherine Bell from JAG. I don't think I missed any of the shows, either new or in syndication. I was a huge fan so I asked Kristin what she thought and that's when Catherine took off her sunglasses and we were positive it was her. She was there with her husband and daughter, along with some friends and other family. Happy, good looking family.

While everyone at our table was finishing brunch, I was pulling up on my Treo and reading about Catherine Bell. You gotta love technology.

So now I come home and read more about her and find out the reason she was in Clearwater. She's a Scientologist. Not my favorite cult in the world but they are the largest taxpayer in the city of Clearwater.

I hope they had a good weekend, they certainly had a good brunch. I'll have to go back there often. Who knows what other celebrity/scientologists I'll see, maybe Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley?

Mall Shopping just working today

What do you buy a family member that's in the restaurant business and lives on the other side of the country? It's two weeks before Christmas, shipping is a concern and you want them to be happy.

What did I suggest? Omaha Steaks of course...., Inc.
